Generation and Extinction 

Extinction … its beauty

My philosophy of painting has many similarities with Schopenhauer’s philosophy that gave birth to existentialist philosophy.

This may be the reason why Schopenhauer’s philosophy is based on Eastern philosophy.

Schopenhauer is often referred to as a pessimist philosopher, but in fact, he isn’t, and I don’t think so either.

He suggested that we are unhappy only when we just fall into survival requirements or social environment and we don’t know who we are, and that we can live happily if we realize our inner existence and live without forgetting the idea that nature and ‘I’ are one.

Everything in the world repeats generation and extinction.Extinction is never the end. It’s just a preparation for a new life.

A mountain path without a single cloud.Have you ever seen thistle blooming on the road side under the burning sun?Under such a burning sun,The strictness of the deep blue leaf with thorns.An amorous flame-like flower that looks like red lava rising from a volcano.I am fascinated by the glamorous beauty and enchanted colors.AndHave you ever seen a dry thistle shaking in the cold wind on a late autumn day when the sun is losing its power? Summer’s amorousness is nowhere to be seenThe scene that she is flying the seeds she conceived far away in the wind until the last minute.The last minute’s thistle I feel, and to me, it is tearfully beautiful.This is because I know that extinction is for the next generation.I leave the beauty of generation and extinction on the canvas.
