quietly springed up colors, a sense of beauty etc. It was completely perfect and different world. Everything was so impressive, and I think it was first time when I knowing almost nothing about Buddhist Art became seriously concerned about it. Two years has passed by with trembling impression and stiff topic of mine. 
In 1997with help of senior that was in charge of painting of a picture behind Buddha in Buddhist temple situated in Gwangju city center I had an opportunity to work directly on picture of Buddha, and that event became a turning point from Oil  Painting to Buddhist art. 
Especially the form of Buddhist Painting of Nectar Ritual was a first step in finding solution for the forms and details I have been anxious about. Because I have met a world of conversation of hope and belief of human being that had understood it can be rescued through recognition and understanding of it’s sin and silliness, along with realization of comparison on topic of human beings life it’s ‘death’ and ‘rescue’.  I wonder if some of sinful acts appearing in Buddhist Painting of Nectar Ritual is a self ?portrait of ours that reflects our true behaviors. That’s why I want to embrace and wrap in my paintings silly and alone spirits with tip of my brush. 
I think that all Arts must be a mean for human care and concern.  Although still there is a poor progress in form and content I tried to continue the traditional painting work as an experiment of common drawings. I want to reflect universal values, distorted appearance of every day life, dead destinies, unfortunate circumstances, and voiceless screams. 

I dream of the world where souls of dead and alive are rescued being devoted to Lotus flower.
