ABOUT ARTIST

손미량

Miryang Son expresses the anonymous presence of those undergoing the sorrowness of life with love as their sorrow or solitary lives also reflect the painter's own life.
Her interest is to visualize people's face in tragic situations caused by the fact that we are born as human beings and also by inner feelings of depression and insecurity.
As she believes that art is impossible without a deep compassion and insights into human existence, she paints the face of acquaintances with affection for their companionships and with a heart of compassion for their tragedies.
