Lee, Han-Woo
The artist Lee, Han-Woo was graduated from Tongyoung Commercial High School in Kyungsang province in 1948, School of Education of Dongkook University M.A.(Art Education) and he serviced as a teacher at Geoje Elementary, Tongyoung High School for 15 years. He has showed his active art world through about 20 times solo exhibition such as 1976 Invited Exhibition held by Kwangju MBC, Invited Exhibition for Commemorating the 3rd Anniversary of Misulsegae Opening, 2003 Invited Exhibition at France Paris CMCOINARP Gallery, 2005 Invited Exhibition at France Luxembourg Gallery etc. And also, he has had about 300 times the inside and outside of the country’s group exhibition and planning invited exhibition such as 1973 Korea-Japan Art Exchange Exhibition(Tokyo, Japan), Modern Senior Artist Exhibition, Invited Exhibition of Artists recommended by the National Art Exhibition, Invited Exhibition held by Taiwan’s History Museum, Invited Exhibition of Senior Modern Artists, 100 Modern Artists of Korea, The Past of the Present of Contemporary Art, Invited Exhibition of 20 Artists in Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of KBS, Commemorative Exhibition of Olympic-1988 Korean Art, Exhibition at KBS Museum, Invited Exhibition of Modern Art 1990, Invited Exhibition in Celebration of the Opening of the Completed Seoul Arts Center, Joint Exhibition of South and North Artists(Peking, China), Commemorative Exhibition in Celebration of the World Flower Fair(Osaka, Japan), Commemorative Exhibition in Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Association of Overseas Koreans in US, LA Korean town, Exhibition of Lee Han-Woo and Kudre Pisaro Invited by the Korea Times, Invited Exhibition of Korean Modern Paintings, Exhibition of Korea’s Mysterious Colors Invited by France UNESCO, Lee Han-Woo, Kim Hyun-Gun, Jeon Hyeok-Lim 3 person’s Union Exhibition etc. He served as judging panel of Gyeongnam Arts Festival, president of Ilsang Exhibit, the 78th National Sports Festival Memorial Art Festival Namdo Art Planning director, advisor of Representational Painting Exhibit, standing advisor of Korea Fine Arts Association, auditor of Korea Fine Arts Association Copyright Committee, judging panel of the 19th Korea Fine Arts Contest (section chief), president of Korea International Exchange Association and president of Korea National Exhibition Artist Association. He received the Award Certificate by the Ministry of Education in 1962 (Outstanding teacher), the presidential award of 2000 for culture merit, 2006 Art and Culture Knight badge of the Ministry of Culture in French, the Presidential Award of 2009 for culture silver merit and the 2010 Proud Korean Award and the Chief Award of Korean Artists.
