Giovanni Fioretto
Born in Naples on 29 th, march, 1962.
Set and costume designer – Art education teacher – Artist
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND :
1980 – Graduated from Pubblic High School of Arts in Naples - Italy.
1984 – Degree in Set Design at The Academy of Fine Arts in Naples - Italy.
1990 – Qualified for teaching of Artistic Education.
SCENES AND COSTUMES :
1986-87 - Designed costumes for “Small Theatre for Marionetts” - Greve in Chianti (Florence, Italy).
1988-91 - Worked as assistant with Mauro Carosi -Set Designer-and Odette Nicoletti - Costume Designer-
for the following performances:
- “Madama Butterfly” written by Puccini, directed by Mauro Bolognini - Theatre San Carlo, Naples,
Italy (scenes).
- “Orfeo and Euridice” written by C.W.Gluck, directed by R.De Simone - Theatre alla Scala, Milan, Italy (scenes).
- “Lo frate ‘nnamurato” written by G.B.Pergolesi, directed by R.De Simone -Theatre alla Scala, Milan, Italy (scenes and costumes).
