1, Why Korean Consonant(without vowel)? 

Cosnonant(Korean) cannot make a meaning or a sound without vowel(Korean). Consonant and vowel should go together to make a complete sound and meaning. The reason that I only employ consonant in my art comes from an idea that viewers can function as vowels to create various meanings. This audience engaging installation changes one-channel communication of a fixed language to multi-channel communication. Each viewer meets each consonant. This is a key concept of my art. The variable space is completed with people’s participation.

2. My art work looks like a puzzle at first glance because it consists of geometric shapes of pentagon and hexagon.  

As like the dots gather and become the lines, and the lines becomes the planes, the geometric shapes of pentagon and hexagon gather together, and then create the new figure.  When you look at my art work closely, you can only see the geometric shapes and cannot recognize the figure. However, you can see the whole figure from a distance.  Thus, my art work deconstructs the originality and the substance, which recreates the new originality without the original substance.  

3, My Thought on Artistry of Art Works

Look at masterpieces of art works with great artistry and high value.  Is the art value derived from their originality, mastery and artfulness? Otherwise, does it come from the human desire that raises the value of the works exceedingly? What opinions would the original creators of the works have upon the skyrocketing prices? Are those what the original artists genuinely want?  There might be only human desires toward masterpieces of art works, regardless of their original art value.

I am willing to dismantle the originalities and auras of masterpieces.  It may be of harm to the original artists by me trying to newly create works, which can easily approach the general public.  However, the original creators might feel free toward my works, if they have similar thought on art works with me. 

This and that .... My opinions- I suspect that the new originality of a desire, that is different to the originality of the original works might have only produced from ever growing human desires... 

At this point, I’m willing to dismantle the significant originality aura through my work. It may be of harm to the original creators by me trying to newly create works, which can easily approach the general public.

However, I wonder if they perhaps have similar attitude towards the artistic works with me, 

They would probably feel a sense of freedom

My Thought on Artistry of Art Works

Look at masterpieces of art works with great artistry, uniqueness and high value, which the general public cannot dare to access.  Where does the art value of masterpieces come from?  It may be derived from their mastery and artfulness.  However, it may stem from their originality and uniqueness.  Or, it may come from the human desire to access masterpieces, which raises the value of the works exceedingly.  I wonder what opinions the original creators of masterpieces have upon the skyrocketing art value of their works.  It seems that new originalities, which are different to the originality of original works, might have only produced from ever growing human desires.  

At this point, I am willing to dismantle originalities, auras, mastery and human desire of masterpieces.  This leads to new creation of masterpieces through my works, which the general public can easily approach.

1,Why is there only the consonant of ‘Hangul’ on my works

On the original works, the consonant of ‘Hangul’ stamped in the geometric hexagon and pentagon, and spreads and transparent embossed glittering on the surface.  The consonant of ‘Hangul’ cannot make its pronunciation or meaning itself, and has to meet with the vowel. Only the consonant of ‘Hangul’ exists on the works, so the audiences become the vowel and enjoy as they feel.

2.My art work looks like a puzzle at first glance.

Because of the puzzling looking,  the shape does not shown well, when we go close to the painting, but it was shown clear from far away.

As like the dots gather and become the lines, and the lines becomes the planes, the geometric shape of pentagon and hexagon and the consonant of ‘Hangul’ gather together and deconstruct the originality and then creates new shapes. 

In the other words, it deconstructs the original and creates the inessential 

new shapes.Without any substances, you can see the new substance more clearly than the original when you look at from far distance. 

So if you look closely, you can only see the geometric shape and cannot recognize the figure. You can see the whole figure from a distance.
